| This year we amended the Panhellenic Recruitment rules to be more up-to-date with the recruitment schedule. Our policy on transfer students is as follows:
"Any women accepted into Indiana University for the spring semester is eligible for recruitment. Panhellenic accepts all credit hours, graded and non-graded"
If you desire to participate in recruitment please register and then email iupharec@gmail.com. Please include your full name, school where you are transferring from, IU student ID number, and date of acceptance.
It will be mandatory for you to attend the required orientation program that IU makes all of its new students participate in. The recruitment team will work with you to make this process as simple for you as possible. You will be excused during the process to attend this orientation.
If you are a Hoosier Link student inquiring about recruitment, you are not eligible to participate for the following reasons:
1. Under the Hossier Link contract which student sign, and are upheld to, it states that students cannot join because they should be focused on their academics. While the Greek community is a great way to get involved, it is a very time intensive commitment and whether enrolled at Ivy Tech or Indiana University, students in Hoosier Link must first put academics first.
2. The first round of women’s recruitment, “Open House” is December 4 & 5, 2010. All 2010 cohort members will still be Ivy Tech (not Indiana University) students at that time.
3. The rest of recruitment takes place between January 6 through 10, with programs every day. Should a Hoosier Link student be admissible to IU and transfer for the spring semester, they will be required to attend a two day orientation (where they will register for their IU courses) between January 6-9, obviously conflicting.
If you are a Hoosier Link student and have questions on this policy, please contact Emily Arth, enarth@indiana.edu
